I’m an imposter. One day someone will realise and soon after everyone else will see it. My writing is poor and what I have to say is better said by other people. I really know very little about technology and I have nothing to share that would improve anyone’s experience. Just watch the average tech YouTuber, you’ll learn so much more.
The power of eating together should never be underestimated. Being in someone’s home and eating with them breaks down barriers. Maybe it’s because you’re in their environment and you’re at the mercy of what they have to offer. If you’re willing to engage, there’s so much to be gained simply by spending time with people in their world.
One evening last year, my youngest son, ten years old at the time, ran himself a bath. He’d been in for a little while when, with his permission, I nipped in to grab something I needed from the bathroom cupboard.
As leaders, called by God, sometimes we might feel that the burden of leading a people has become too great. I listened to a podcast recently, and a guy on it said that if we’re not facing any opposition or feel any burden then maybe we’re not leading well as we should be. Challenging stuff!
Do you have someone whom you look up to and appreciate greatly their input into your life? How much does it suck when you discover you don't see eye to eye on a few things, especially when these things are important and even close to your heart?
