Advent, Day 24 – Forgiveness

Peter replied, “Repent and return to God, and each one of you must be baptised in the name of Jesus, the Anointed One, to have your sins removed. Then you may take hold of the gift of the Holy Spirit. For God’s promise of the Holy Spirit is for you and your families, for those yet to be born and for everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.” (Acts 2:38-39)

What a promise! We are guaranteed to have the Spirit of Jesus live within us if we just cry out to God asking for forgiveness of all that we have done wrong. Declaring that we no longer wish to live lives of selfishness and sin instead wanting to live our lives the way God desires, humbly, lovingly and servant-hearted.

I pray in this festive season that you have an encounter with Jesus that just blows your gifted Christmas socks off! If you don’t know Him, cry out to Jesus today and, if you’re genuinely seeking Him with your whole heart, He will answer.
