He answered, “The Father is the one who sets the fixed dates and the times of their fulfilment. You are not permitted to know the timing of all that he has prepared by his own authority. But I promise you this – the Holy Spirit will come upon you and you will be filled with power. And you will be my messengers to Jerusalem, throughout Judea, the distant provinces – even to the remotest places on earth!” (Acts 1:7-8)
As a Christian I am called upon by Jesus to take the Good News of who He is to those that don’t yet know Him. This may mean for some Christians that they need to literally travel to the remotest places on Earth. But I believe it can also mean simply being a good neighbour, work colleague, friend, and taking opportunities, where you’re able, to appropriately and sensitively talk about Jesus with all the prophetic boldness the Spirit brings.
If you think that Jesus is the best person you could ever know, the deepest relationship you could ever have, the most valuable friend you could ever hope for and most worthy of all our praise, then why would you ever stop talking about Him!
